We started off our week of vacation by letting the kids have a sleep-over last night. This is one of their favorite activities and they have been asking for it for some time now. After getting P.J.'s on they all came downstairs with blankets and pillows to make their beds on the living room floor. We made popcorn and watched a movie and then told them it was time to settle down. By this time it was 9pm and they were getting started with their story telling and it was another hour before we heard silence. It was a late night for us all and then an early morning since they woke each other up before the sun was even up.
The kids have been a bit grumpy today but not to bad and it was worth it to see how much fun they had last night. It was a good activity for the rainy stay at home day that we are having today.
We will just have to see what the rest of the week has in store for us!

How fun! They're all little best friends. I'll have to do that with my kids. Great idea.
You forgot to mention who got a special invitation to the kids' sleepover. I think it would be fun to have Mommy and Daddy join in one of these times.
I think we would have to move to a bigger house before we could do that. There aren't enough spots on the floor for all of us to fit!
I forgot about that winter break......lucky you! :) You always manage to find fun for the kids, so I'm confident you'll get through this week.......:) My kids were off Friday and today and I'm ready for them to go back to school! It's amazing how the dynamic changes when everyone is home on a "special" day, not just the weekend.
I want to join the sleepover!!! Me too! Me too! Soon maybe!
Yawn! Excuse me while I go take a nap! :)
Love you all!
How fun and enjoy the rest of the week!! Lucky you.... maybe
