One year older......

Birthdays are always so exciting. This year Anthony got to celebrate two different days. Once while Grandma and Grandpa were still here and once on his actual birthday. (March 3rd)

With the chaos of us getting ready to move I told Anthony he could pick out a cake from Sam's Club. This turned out to be a great idea. The cake was big enough that we enjoyed some with Grandma and Grandpa and then ate some more on his birthday.

Some excited kids before the party. Not sure what Natalie was winking at!

Abigail could hardly wait to give Anthony his present. She bought it with her own money and was so excited!

Grandma and Grandpa put together a little scavenger hunt for Anthony with $$ at the end!

Anthony was really excited with his new scout stuff and has been proud to wear his uniform every week. He was particularly excited to learn that the neckerchief we gave him his dad had used and it had belonged to his great grandfather. Now we just have to get busy working on all those merit badges!

Can't believe my little man is growing up. Eleven years old sounds so much older than ten. Good luck with the new year ahead of you Anthony!

A fun visit

During our not so fun February vacation Jeremiah's parents were brave enough to come for a visit. We had snow, rain, sunshine, cold temperatures, and even a few days with temperatures in the fifties. I guess they got a little bit of our crazy weather all crammed into the two week period they were here.

Since we didn't have a car we could all fit into we found lots to do at home and even used the bus a few times for some outings.

Abigail got to go on the bus with Grandma and Grandpa one afternoon while the kids were at school. I'm not sure if she was more excited about the bus ride or the donut.

We had lots of shopping trips that always had a way of turning into a fun adventure.

Grandma Vicki was patient to help the three older kids make cute owls.

We had lots of game time,
and tickle time,
and even some outside time.

We had a great visit and Abigail is still telling me how much she really really misses Grandma and Grandpa.

Thanks Mom and Dad for braving our winter New England weather to come for a visit. Just think, next time you come we will have lots more room! Yippee!

Youtube Power?

I made a video with the children in our Primary a few years ago. It was really cute, and the kids loved it. I posted it on youtube.com so that all the children and their families could access it. It has almost 11,000 hits at the time of this blog post, and has a lot of comments from people that really seem to enjoy the video. I'll have to see if I can get a better version up at some point.
