Sleep?

It's amazing!

My baby actually sleeps! Emersynne is now six weeks old and has been sleeping 5-7 hour stretches at night. For my babies, that is so unheard of. The first six weeks are spent trudging through every two hour night time feedings. The other night we even got an eight hour stretch in there. Now, if I could get used to going to bed right when the baby does I would probably be in much better shape. There just seems to be something about getting all the kids into bed and never having the work done or if by magic it happens to be all done, feeling the need to pick up a book and do something for myself for a change.

I wish I had some magic formula to pass on to you for our sleeping success. It just seems that Emersynne came to us that way. I think Heavenly Father figured I needed all the help I could get.

Wait a minute here. I've always envied you your great sleepers.....haven't they all been exception? Must be some amazing DNA. :) I'm so glad for you!

None of them have been good sleepers as newborns. That always came much later. So we are enjoying it now and hoping that it will keep up!

Nice job! I had one of those too, but she is gone now. Well, I shouldn't complain--she still sleeps better than my boys. Enjoy it!!

That is how I felt about Aaron. Brian in a tough 2nd yr of Pharm school. Aaron slept through the night a little before 2 months. I was sorried at first but he was just happy that way. I felt God also knew I needed all the help I could get. Maybe a blessing for being willing in today's world to have children.:) Good for you. She is a beautiful baby. I wish I was close enough to hold her for a bit. Glad you are all doing well.
